Palani Hills, Tamil Nadu: Where Coffee and Wildlife Coexist

Our exploration of the Palani Hills began in 2023. Tucked into the southern Western Ghats of Tamil Nadu, this landscape is a vibrant mosaic of shola forests, grasslands, and human communities: forest-dwellers, honey-harvesters, small farmers, and more.

Here, endangered species like the Indian Gaur and Nilgiri Tahr still roam freely. And so do we—with deep respect for the ways people and wildlife share this space.

We work with smallholder producers growing Arabica coffee under native forest canopy, without fencing. Wildlife moves through farms with minimal conflict, and coffee is cultivated in harmony with nature. Together, we produce Washed Arabicas and Honeys that reflect this unique ecology.
